Born in 1987 in Bucharest, Romania
President of Bumerang Association, with a PhD in Sociology, Master in Communication, Mass Media and Society; Master in Deviance and Delinquencies and Master in Fine Arts- Graphics, has several years of experience in working with youth in the NGO field. Her big interest in the probation system and combating social exclusion led her to volunteer in a range of projects for marginalized groups such as roma community, disabled people, ex-addicts and inmates.
She is very committed to measures to increase social inclusion through various projects for the marginalized groups in order to combat the risk of individuals or communities being excluded from mainstream society. This provides the basis for the participatory work with community groups to ensure that the rights of people with fewer opportunities become a priority in the activities.
During her European Voluntary Service project in Poland she has been working in “Foundation for differently abled” where she had the chance to support the disabled people through education, rehabilitation and art therapy activities.
Within her work at Bumerang Association she uses art as a vehicle to address various topics such discrimination, racism, poverty, homelessness, lack of employment and mental health issues, while helping to develop self-esteem, creativity, life-skills and learning of my beneficiaries. They continue to foster the arts in a community that can’t otherwise afford access to making art and being creative.
